Klavan explains that while thrillers are founded on the thrill, writers in the genre also can ask larger questions about the nature of man and society. He is the author of many novels, including True Crime, which was made into a film starring Clint Eastwood, and Don’t Say a Word, which was made into a film starring Michael Douglas. His most recent novel is Empire of Lies.
