Andrew Klavan discusses his latest novel, Empire of Lies — a thriller that diverges from its genre by way of its explicitly Christian hero, Jason Harrow. Klavan explains that while thrillers are founded on the thrill, writers in the genre also can ask larger questions about the nature of man and society.

About Andrew Klavan
Andrew Klavan was born in New York City, grew up on Long Island, and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. He is the author of many novels, including True Crime, which was made into a film starring Clint Eastwood, and Don’t Say a Word, which was made into a film starring Michael Douglas. His most recent novel is Empire of Lies.
